The body of a man who had been missing for two weeks was found at an apartment complex in Sydney’s west on Saturday, police said.

The body was found on Friday evening in the apartment complex of a 29-year-old man who was last seen by his wife and daughter in late November.

“This was a very unfortunate incident, he’s a member of the family,” Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Mowat told reporters.

“The family has spoken to the police and will be contacting the coroner’s office to determine the cause of death.”

He said the man was last known to have been living at a Sydney apartment and had been last seen in the early hours of November 23.

“His body was discovered in the apartments in the west of Sydney,” he said.

“Police will continue to investigate the circumstances of his death.”

“Mr Mowatt said the circumstances surrounding the death remained under investigation.

He said detectives were still trying to piece together what happened to the man.”
