Two people have been arrested after a house attack at an apartment complex in Akari, the capital of the Central Philippine Islands, police said on Tuesday.
Police said that on Thursday, April 12, the victim of the attack was rushed to a hospital after a fire broke out in her apartment.
In a statement, the police said that they arrested two suspects after the victim told them she was attacked by two men who then fled from the apartment.
Police also arrested a man who is a relative of the victims.
The victims were rushed to the hospital after the fire broke and the suspects fled the scene.
The victim and her mother were hospitalized for several days after the incident.
This is the second time that a house has been targeted in Akati.
In 2015, a house at the corner of Pilar and Marigal streets was torched by three men who also fled the incident, police reported.
