The body of a man who died in his Akari apartment early on Monday was discovered by his three-year-old dog, a neighbor said.

According to the neighbor, the body of 23-year old Niyaz Hassan was discovered in his living room in the apartment building at about 6:30 a.m.

He had been sleeping in his bedroom, which is shared with a family member, the neighbor told the Anadolu Agency.

Hassan, who was a student at the University of Akari, was a resident of the apartment, the resident said.

He was known for his friendly nature, the other neighbor told Anado.

Hasan was a graduate of the University, the second-highest school in the city, according to the city’s municipal registration database.

He attended the university from 2014 to 2016 and studied architecture and urban planning, the municipality said in a statement.

The man’s dog, named Akari-san, was brought to the scene and was taken to the veterinary hospital for examination, the city said.
